Located in the heart of the City of London, Drapers’ Hall provides a majestic setting for any event. The Livery Hall was enlarged to its present size in the 1860s and provides a dramatic location for weddings, banquets, cocktail and Christmas parties, conferences, product launches and other important private and corporate events. Step over our threshold, deep in the heart of the City, and let us walk you through some of London’s most elegant interiors.
The Livery Hall is one of the finest grand rooms anywhere in London. The vast ceiling is adorned with scenes from Shakespeare’s plays ‘The Tempest’ and ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and around the walls we display some of our finest silver. Marble-columned, galleried, gilded and hung with royal portraits, this is where Her Majesty The Queen and other heads of state have dined. it is large and versatile enough to accommodate almost any event you have in mind.

The Drawing Room is an elegant setting for champagne receptions. The room is hung with delicate Victorian chandeliers and retains its original pale green and cream colour scheme of the 1860s. It is also a good setting for presentations with sculpture busts of HM The Queen and HRH The Prince of Wales, both members of the Drapers’ Company, lending it appropriate formality.

The Court Dining Room is a favourite place for lunches and candlelit dinners. It overlooks our historic garden and is next to the Drawing Room with which it can be combined for large receptions.This room stands in the oldest part of Drapers’ Hall dating to the late 1660s though altered in 1869 by John G Crace whose family worked for every British monarch from George III to Queen Victoria.

The Court Room is a perfect size for breakfasts, informal lunches and side meetings at conferences. And as it directly adjoins the Livery Hall, it is also much in demand for dancing, for which we have a special stage and floor. Louis XIV tapestries, 18th century chandeliers and portraits of The Duke of Wellington and Lord Nelson lend gravitas to this important room where the Master and Assistants meet to direct the running of the Drapers’ Company and award grants.

The Garden is a green and peaceful oasis in the heart of London you can invite your guests to imagine Thomas Cromwell, whose garden occupied this very spot, perfect for entertaining guests on a warm evening.

The Courtyard is at the heart of Drapers’ Hall and comes alive on summer evenings. It can be used on its own or in conjunction with the garden.
