Central Hall Westminster, London SW1H

Description:

Central Hall Westminster, London SW1H

Central Hall Westminster is one of the largest conference and events venue in central London. Our Grade II* listed building was first inaugurated as a public meeting space for the Methodist Church in 1912, so hosting successful events is integral to who we are. While Central Hall Westminster continues to be owned by Methodist Central Hall, we now host over 800 diverse events every year. We are particularly well-known for hosting events of cultural significance, such as Stand Up To Cancer and The Late, Late Show.

The Great Hall is our flagship room, and the jewel in the crown of Central Hall Westminster. The Hall’s unique architecture was and still is considered a marvel of engineering in its time.  Its stunning period features include a self-supporting domed ceiling that remains the largest of its kind in Europe. It also features a brilliantly designed stage area and excellent acoustics that create a surprisingly intimate ambience for live concerts, award ceremonies, graduations, television recordings and conferences.

Capacities: Theatre 913 / Cabaret 320 / Dining 400 / Standing 2400

The Lecture Hall & Library are highly adaptable and can combine into one space for larger events. There is also direct access from the Grand Foyer on Level 1, which can be used as a convenient registration area if needed. In-room features include impressive triple height ceilings, natural daylight, and a built-in stage – providing a versatile room for holding conferences, seminars, exhibitions, and even graduation ceremonies.

Capacities: Cabaret 320 / Dining 400 / Receptions 1000

The Aldersgate Room is a striking event space imbued with the rich heritage of Central Hall Westminster. Its distinctive décor is made up of both modern and period features. These include decorative alcoves, vaulted ceilings, bespoke chandeliers, a glass-panelled conservatory, and gallery-style track lighting throughout. The room is located on the Lower Ground Floor, providing easy access for delegates and guests at awards, seminars, or meetings

Capacities: Theatre 250 / Cabaret 104 / Dining 130 / Receptions 250

There are a further 10 spaces available for smaller events or break out rooms.
