Southbank Centre offers world class, creative and flexible spaces to hire for events, in a vibrant central London location. An awards ceremony venue for 2,500, a conference for 500 and a reception for 100 – we have event spaces for all this and more, set against a backdrop of the River Thames and some of the capital’s most iconic architecture.

The Grade I-listed Royal Festival Hall building is home to a choice of open and airy spaces with iconic river views, perfect for private receptions, meetings and weddings. Next door, the brutalist architecture of the Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer offers a versatile space, ideal for anything from exhibitions to fashion shows and dinners.

Royal Festival Hall. The world-class concert hall has a state-of-the-art stage and rig, a large number of back-of-house areas and many of its original 1950s features. The Royal Festival Hall building offers a number of additional reception rooms, foyer and ancillary spaces that can be used for breakout rooms, catering and entertaining, in addition to the hire of the auditorium.

Queen Elizabeth Hall & Foyer. This beautiful auditorium is an icon of brutalist architecture with state-of-the-art facilities. Steeped in culture with backstage facilities including dressing rooms, an Artists’ Bar and Green Room. The foyer space is bright and airy during the daytime while the interior features, such as restored brushed concrete walls and marble floors, give it a distinctive aesthetic. Doors open out onto the riverside terrace and fantastic views of the Thames.

The Purcell Room. This recently refurbished, wood-panelled auditorium has an intimate atmosphere making it suitable for smaller scale events such as meetings, seminars, panel discussions, conferences and private concerts, which can be held with a live audience, as a hybrid event or virtually.

Further event spaces. These spaces are available to hire for smaller events or as break out rooms.

Outdoor space for brand activation and experiential marketing. We have three busy locations across our central London site, and enviable views of the London skyline, including the London Eye, Houses of Parliament and River Thames.
