The Barbican, London EC2

The Barbican Centre was developed in the Brutalist style of architecture, like the infamous National Theatre. It is a performing arts centre, the largest of its kind in Europe. As well as being a world class arts venue, the Barbican Centre offers many spaces to hire for corporate and private events including its very own tropical Conservatory.

The Conservatory at the Barbican is one of the most memorable venues in London for events. The space is a tropical utopia of 2000 species of plants and over 100 species of tropical fish. It is also licensed to host wedding and civil partnership ceremonies.

Conservatory Terrace High up under the glass roof of the Centre, this space overlooks the tropical treetops of the Conservatory.

The Garden Room has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Barbican lakeside and cityscape of London. It can also be combined with the Conservatory and Conservatory Terrace providing one of the world’s most unusual and flexible networking spaces.

The Barbican Theatre is an unusually intimate space with no seat located more than 20 metres from the stage and excellent sight lines for all delegates. There is state-of-the-art audio visual equipment available for usage.

Cinema 1 has recently been refurbished and voted the most comfortable cinema in London. It boasts state of the art data and video projection supported the in-house technical team. Cinema 1 is ideal for private film screenings, and can be combined with a dinner or drinks in the Garden Room and Conservatory.

Frobisher Auditoriums 1&2 are located close to the 6 Frobisher Rooms, ensuring that both syndicate and catering areas are just a short walk away. The Auditoriums are ideal for conferences, meetings and training days and offer video conferencing, satellite links, 4 translation booths and onsite dedicated technician.

Frobisher Rooms are ideal spaces for both smaller meetings and syndicate work. The 6 suites are separated by removable sound proofed partitioning, allowing complete flexibility in combining these rooms to create larger flat floored spaces.
