The Shard is an iconic building situated in one of London’s most vibrant areas, rich in both history and innovation, capturing London’s character as a city of contrasts, balancing old and new, raw and refined, traditional and visionary.
Irving Sellar, the developer, had an ambitious vision to create an architecturally striking vertical city and one of the tallest buildings in Western Europe. Award winning architect Renzo Piano took inspiration from the spires of London churches and the masts of tall ships, depicted by the 18th-century Venetian painter Canaletto, to design the building as a spire-like sculpture emerging from the River Thames.
There are two spectacular venues with stunning views available to hire for a multitude of corporate and private events.
The View from The Shard is an unparalleled event space sitting 244m above the capital providing guests with a 40 mile view in all directions. Located at the top of the tallest building in London on levels 69 & 72 this spectacular blank canvas venue which includes an open air viewing deck can be customise to your needs.
