The beautifully grand townhouse is the third incarnation of the original Hall on this site, standing alongside the remains of the Roman-built London Wall. Offering rooms flooded with natural light and panelled in Japanese oak, the venue has a stunning terrace overlooking a historic herb garden. Barber-Surgeons’ Hall is ideal for conferences, summer receptions, and dinners making it a sought-after location for events.

The Great Hall is a striking room, panelled with Japanese Oak and opening directly onto the Terrace. Lit with Waterford crystal chandeliers, flooded with natural light and bowed towards the West, the Hall is dominated by a magnificent Holbein painting of Henry VIII uniting the Barbers’ and Surgeons’ Companies in 1541/2.

The Reception Room provides an interesting and inspiring backdrop for any event. The room is bright, beautifully furnished and houses the Barbers’ Company’s collection of barbers’ bowls, some dating back to 1680. Approached through the welcoming and elegant Foyer, the Reception Room is ideal as a breakout space, or as a reception room prior to lunch or dinner. The room can be used as a smaller, more intimate dining area.

The Court Room is perfectly suited for small-scale lunches, committee meetings, or to serve as a breakout space for The Great Hall. The room boasts leather-topped tables, impressive statuary and stained glass windows, flooding the space with natural light.

Terrace & Garden. Against a backdrop of the City’s contemporary buildings lies the Barbers’ Physic Garden. With a paved, gated Terrace and a section of the original London Wall, this hidden oasis offers wonderful alfresco entertaining opportunities for receptions and conferences alike.
