The newly refurbished Battersea Barge is an award-winning, unique venue on the Thames, docked between Chelsea and Vauxhall Bridge, with views of the iconic Battersea Power Station. The new Barge is full of light, glass, steel and personality.

The Battersea Barge is a permanently moored and hidden away in a serene location far away from the hustle and bustle of London life. Peter Lewis, the owner, describes it as his secret garden where you can enjoy the warmth of his friendly 'crew'.

The Barge at one time transported aggregates and other earthy materials and which is now a welcoming space for people to eat, drink and hire for weddings and celebrations including music, theatre, comedy or a mix of all 3 – cabaret!

Just a 7 minute walk from Vauxhall tube, the venue is perfect for weddings (yes, we are licensed), parties & shows/performances. It also has a spacious interior, with upper, middle and lower decks.

The lower deck of the Battersea Barge is unique, full of character and has great views of the Thames. It is an intimate, yet spacious setting for any event and is ideal for wedding receptions and parties.

We have a kitchen and bar that mean that your guests will be well catered for. We also have a stage with full lighting and sound equipment that makes it an ideal performance space, perfect for all kinds of shows, be they music, comedy, cabaret or theatre.

Whole boat hire includes The Lower Deck, Outdoor East Deck with great views over the river providing that ideal outside/covered combination and the Uncovered Terrace.
