The Custard Factory, Birmingham B9
The Custard Factory, Birmingham B9
The Custard Factory was built by Alfie Bird to produce Bird’s Custard in 1902. Today it retains its industrious edge with original Crittall windows, exposed steels and high ceilings. The former factory has been updated to combine industrial architecture with contemporary interiors - with a range of characterful venues to choose from. The Custard Factory is home to a hive of creative businesses as well as exclusively independent shops, cafes, bars and event spaces.
The Custard Factory is located in the thriving creative hub of Digbeth in central Birmingham. Digbeth has always attracted an unpreceded amount of industriousness and invention, from its roots as one of the original epicentres of the Industrial Revolution, to the current day revolution it is in the grips of now. Thanks to a concentration of young, independent businesses, attracted by the industrial architecture and street art, Digbeth has grown to become a characterful neighbourhood, known for its friendly people, its innovation and creativity.
