The Law Society, London WC2
The Law Society is a prestigious Grade II listed venue in the heart of legal London. With nine distinct areas available for hire, it offers flexibility as well as style for all kinds of corporate events, including meetings, conferences, training days, seminars, lunches and grand dinners.
With glimmering chandeliers, beautiful marble pillars and inviting alcoves we offer a prestigious setting for glamorous award ceremonies, elegant banqueting, engagement parties, wedding receptions or beautiful birthday parties.
COMMON ROOM
Our sweeping marble staircase leads you to the magnificent Common Room; this first floor room is the largest of our event areas and a space which truly reflects the gravity and prestige of this place. Graceful pillars of green marble draw the eye to Conrad Dressler's celebrated Persian enamel frieze depicting human and divine justice, while mahogany panelling, 17th Century stained glass windows, and a peacock-tiled fireplace make this grand room wholly impressive for conferences and entertaining.
READING ROOM
At once grand and welcoming, the Reading Room is a truly special space. A refined palette of subtle blue, gold, and cream creates an atmosphere both cordial and regal in this spacious and versatile room. Located on the ground floor, the Reading Room is ideal for canapé receptions, seminars, or special dinners, and, with a license for civil ceremonies, it's the perfect setting for a wedding of exceptional elegance.
STRAND FLEET AND BELL SUITE
This impressive suite of three interconnecting, fully sound-proofed rooms is ideal for meetings, presentations, receptions, and special dinners. Featuring cherry wood panelling and furniture, each inviting first floor room is flooded with natural light and overlooks the Royal Courts of Justice. These light and airy rooms open into one large area, perfect for bigger conferences, or work equally well as individual spaces.
OLD COUNCIL CHAMBER
The Old Council Chamber and Dining Room confers gravitas on the medium sized meetings or banquets to which it is so perfectly suited. This private ground floor space, designed by Philip Charles Hardwick in 1857, comes with its own ante-room, bar and registration area. The double-height windows and signature blue and gold carpets help create a bright and beautiful room, while chandeliers, classic furniture, traditional wood panelling, and a beautiful ornate ceiling impart a regal heritage feel.
