Specially created for entertaining in 1622, Banqueting House is truly a sight to behold. Your families and guests arrive via the elegant entry hall, and follow in the footsteps of kings and queens, climbing the grand staircase to the majesty of the Main Hall. Here magnificent pillars and glittering chandeliers will draw guests’ gazes toward one of the world’s great masterpieces: Sir Peter Paul Rubens’ glorious painted ceiling.
The Main Hall
The Main Hall is one of the most breathtaking venues in the whole of London. With its soaring neo-classical columns and magnificent painted ceiling, the Main Hall is a majestic setting for fabulous dinners and receptions.
The Main Hall can accommodate up to 380 guests for dinner and up to 500 guests for drinks receptions.
The Undercroft
With its cosy archways and snug corners, the Undercroft is as charming as the Main Hall is grand. Originally designed as a drinking den for James I and his favourite courtiers to escape the rigours of public life, this atmospheric venue is perfect for all sorts of occasions, from intimate dinners to distinctive receptions.
The Undercroft can accommodate up to 380 guests for receptions and up to 120 guests for dinner.
