The House of St Barnabas is a beautiful historic Grade I listed building in the heart of Soho that can accommodate a range of private events from receptions to private dining.
We have seven beautiful historic rooms and a garden available for hire. 100% of the surplus venue hire fee goes directly towards supporting the Employment Academy within our private members’ club and helps us on our mission to break the cycle of homelessness.
From meetings to drinks receptions to exclusive venue takeovers, we would love to help create your perfect event. All of our spaces are also available upon request for photography and filming.
Exclusive use of The First Floor - Our first floor is made up of the Drawing Room, Silk Room and Bazalgette Room. The Drawing Room and Silk Room overlook Soho Square and feature dramatic 18th century rococo plasterwork and silk wall coverings whilst the former office of Sir Joseph Bazalgette adds an elegant historical element to any event. From press events to large receptions, the first floor of the House is the perfect space to meet by day or night.

The Drawing Room - Overlooking Soho Square and featuring dramatic 18th century rococo plasterwork, the Drawing Room is an excellent space for larger drink receptions and parties, networking, corporate events and functions.

The Monro Room - It was in 1846 that Dr Henry Monro, a young physician and lawyer, first established the ‘House of Charity’. The inviting warmth and gently spotlit art in our stylish Monro Room make this corner of our club the perfect space for intimate soirées. The Monro Room is also available to hire in conjunction with the Garden Room for larger standing functions

The Garden Room - Is airy, bright and nature-themed and comes equipped with its very own disco ball. It’s the perfect spot for a drinks reception or party – and maybe some dancing too! The space also enjoys direct (but non-exclusive) access to the largest private garden in Soho.
