Leeds Castle, Kent ME17
As a royal court during the Middle Ages, Leeds Castle near Maidstone, Kent was a venue known for its exceptional hospitality over the centuries, including our seven historic queens and their guests.
During the 1930s, Lady Olive Baillie transformed the Castle to host society’s finest, leading politicians and even Hollywood’s finest including Charlie Chaplin, Errol Flynn, Winston Churchill, and even a young J.F. Kennedy, future president of the United States. We’ve kept that tradition to this day with Leeds Castle now available for everyone to enjoy!
The Castle. The magnificent rooms within the Castle provide a memorable setting for both corporate and private events. Guests can enjoy pre-dinner drinks in the castle library followed by a game of croquet on the lawn. They can curl up on the sofas in front of the open log fires, play the piano or have a game of backgammon in the drawing rooms. Dinner is served in the Castle dining room, with its delicate Chinese porcelain and Aubusson tapestries, while larger groups can feast in The Salon, with its magnificent fireplace and sweeping views across the castle moat. In addition, of course, the castle butler and his team are on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly.
